Discussion with Izudin Ahmetlić, Founder of HIFA - One of the Largest Companies in BiH

The Minister of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton, Samir Sibonjic, held a meeting with Izudin Ahmetlić, the founder of HIFA, one of the largest companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region. HIFA today encompasses dozens of companies that successfully operate and employ a significant number of people in the oil, metal and wood industries across the canton.

During the meeting, experiences regarding current economic developments were exchanged and joint plans for the upcoming period were agreed upon, with particular emphasis on the Tešanj Economy Fair and the General BH Fair ZEPS 2024. It was agreed that in the period from 25 September to 5 October 2024, an event entitled the Economy Festival would be organised in Zenica-Doboj Canton, bringing together a range of activities aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and the economic potential of the canton.

Zenica-Doboj Canton is distinguished by its courageous entrepreneurs who continuously prove themselves in a demanding business environment and are also among the leaders in Bosnia and Herzegovina in terms of social responsibility. Thanks to companies such as HIFA and their employees, the economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton represents one of the pillars of the economic development of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
