Minister Šibonjić and Mayor Merdić Smailhodžić received Scout Troop "Klek" representatives and discussed the "Boranka" project planned for autumn 2026.

Minister of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton Samir Šibonjić and Mayor Erna Merdić Smailhodžić received representatives of the Scout Troop "Klek", along with representatives of the Scout Association of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina - President Nermin Zagorčić and "Boranka" project coordinator Ahmed Gigić. During the meeting, discussions were held on the continuation of cooperation and support for the Troop's activities in the coming period.

A particular focus of the discussion was on preparations for the "Boranka" project, planned for autumn 2026, which plays a significant role in environmental protection and raising awareness among young people about the importance of preserving nature, particularly in the area of the Tajan Nature Monument. The Scout Troop "Klek", founded in 1973, is one of the oldest scout troops in Bosnia and Herzegovina and has made a significant contribution over the decades to the education and socialisation of children and youth, as well as to fostering values such as responsibility, solidarity, and community care.

The meeting confirmed the commitment of institutions to remain partners in initiatives aimed at the development of the scouting movement, the upbringing of younger generations, and strengthening a healthy relationship with nature. Minister Šibonjić highlighted the important role of the scouting movement in developing teamwork and socially beneficial engagement among young people, and expressed support for the realisation of the planned activities.
