Visit to Agro Homestead Ibrisimovic in Mijakovici

Minister Sibonjic visited the Ibrisimović family estate in Mijakovici near Bobovac, an example of traditional entrepreneurship.

Minister of Economy of the Zenica-Doboj Canton Samir Sibonjic visited "Agro Homestead Ibrisimović", a family-owned agricultural estate in the village of Mijakovici, home to the medieval capital, fortress and castle – the Royal Town of Bobovac. The estate is engaged in the production of berries and stone fruit, primarily plums, with all raw materials processed into finished packaged products.

The homestead possesses its own watermill over 180 years old, inherited through five generations and still in active operation, as well as an apiary with several dozen beehives. All products are sold directly on the premises, which features a tasting room furnished in the traditional old Bosnian style with an ethnological collection. The estate also raises the indigenous Bosnian Buša cow, from whose milk traditional dairy products are made.

Minister Sibonjic spoke with members of the Ibrisimović family who built the estate through their own labour on the slopes of the Royal Town. This homestead represents an example of successful family entrepreneurship that preserves Bosnian-Herzegovinian tradition and contributes to maintaining rural life in the Zenica-Doboj Canton.
