Meeting in Zenica: Cooperation Between the ZDK Ministry of Economy, AmCham and ZEPS Fair

Minister of Economy in the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton, Samir Sibonjic, received the Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in BiH (AmCham BiH), Nedim Hamzić, Semir Mujezinović from AmCham BiH, and representatives of the Organizing Team of the General BH Fair ZEPS 2025, Evlir Ajanović and Sanel Ibrić. Discussions focused on cooperation opportunities in the context of strengthening ties between AmCham BiH member companies and companies from Zenica-Doboj Canton, as well as their participation at this year"s ZEPS. Director Hamzić announced that AmCham BiH will present ZEPS and the opportunity to participate in this prestigious fair to its members and American companies through its channels.

During the meeting, Minister Sibonjic presented the economic potential of Zenica-Doboj Canton, emphasizing that it is one of the most active industrial regions in this part of Europe. "I would particularly highlight the very favorable investment opportunities in Zenica-Doboj Canton. ZDK is a leader in many economic sectors, including the food industry, metalworking, wood industry, energy production, and mining. An excellent example in the field of modern and sustainable mining is the largest post-war investment by international company Adriatic Metals in Vareš, a rare metals mine that has announced a significant new investment cycle in Zenica-Doboj Canton and all of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The ZEPS fair is precisely the right opportunity and meeting place for all these success stories, and AmCham BiH is a significant partner and important institution in that regard," said Minister Sibonjic.

The meeting highlighted the great efforts being made to make ZEPS, as the most important economic event in Bosnia and Herzegovina, recognizable worldwide. Director Hamzić stated that AmCham BiH recognizes and welcomes the efforts directed at repositioning ZEPS as a leading regional economic fair and a significant platform for connecting economic entities, promoting investments, and exchanging ideas, and that AmCham BiH will continue to be committed to cooperation with partners who contribute to improving the business environment in BiH.

Evlir Ajanović, the license owner of the General BH Fair ZEPS, emphasized that having the world"s largest chambers of commerce as partners is a great advantage but also a responsibility, and that it is important that ZEPS has been recognized as the business event of the year by both domestic and international partners. Sanel Ibrić, manager of the General BH Fair ZEPS 2025, noted that the cooperation initiated today can only bring benefits to all stakeholders.

The American Chamber of Commerce in Bosnia and Herzegovina (AmCham BiH) is an independent, non-profit organization representing the interests of 170 American, international, and domestic companies in BiH. ZEPS has become more than a fair — a major platform for establishing business meetings and concluding beneficial collaborations. During last year"s fair alone, more than 1,000 B2B meetings were organized and approximately 300 business contracts were signed. The General BH Fair ZEPS 2025 will be held from September 10 to 13 at Kamberovića Polje in Zenica.
