Minister of Economy of ZDK: Almy Is the Pride of the Canton's Economy

Minister Sibonjic visited Almy Zenica, a food production company and a significant employer in the Zenica-Doboj Canton.

Minister of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton Samir Sibonjic visited the company Almy d.o.o. in Zenica, where he spoke with the director and owner Ismet Begić and his associates. Almy was founded in 1989 as a private enterprise with 15 employees and today employs more than 500 workers, mostly young and highly educated staff, and is a leader in the production of concrete and concrete products in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The company owns over 10 business facilities with more than 50,000 m2 of enclosed space, concrete production plants in Zenica, Sarajevo and Zavidovići, a powder materials and facade factory under the Baumy brand, and is engaged in the trade of construction materials, petroleum products as an authorised Shell distributor, transport with a fleet of over 200 trucks and construction operations. The company holds ISO 9001 certification and the prestigious QUDAL quality certificate.

Minister Sibonjic noted that Almy is the pride of the economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton, emphasising that modern technology, excellent logistics positioning and expert staff confirm why the canton's economy is a pillar of development of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The company is a leader not only in construction but also in the metal industry through its Almy Metals division in Zavidovići with 12,500 m2 of production facilities.
