

Minister of Economy of ZDK Visited Secom Visoko - Employing 160 Workers, Exporting 90% of Production
ZDK Economy Minister visited Secom in Visoko with 160 employees producing solid wood panels and furniture, exporting 90% of production, founded in 1996.
Minister of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton Samir Sibonjic and his associates visited the company Secom d.o.o. in Visoko, where he spoke with the company representative Elvedina Semić and employees. The company is a beneficiary of incentive funds from the Ministry of Economy, with whose help an additional forklift was purchased, thereby speeding up and improving the production process.
Secom d.o.o. was founded in 1996 and currently employs more than 160 workers. The company is engaged in the production of solid wood panels, solid wood furniture, pellets and briquettes, and by investing in the most modern technology, the entire production process has been completed from log intake to the final product. Since entering the European market, the company has recorded continuous production growth with a current export share of 90 per cent.
Minister Sibonjic expressed satisfaction with the results of Secom, emphasising that such examples of successful business operations confirm the justification of the Ministry of Economy's incentive measures. He noted that the company represents one of the more significant economic entities in the wood processing sector of Zenica-Doboj Canton and a model for further development of export-oriented enterprises.
