Minister Sibonjic at the First Joint Session of Local Economic Councils in Žepče

Minister of Economy of Zeničko-Dobojski Canton Samir Sibonjic attended the first joint session of local economic councils of the municipalities of Žepče, Zavidovići, Zenica, and Vareš, held in Žepče with the support of USAID. The Ministry of Economy announced the continuation of its support for the development of cooperation between local communities and businesses across the canton.

The session highlighted that strengthening trust between the business sector and local authorities is essential for building strong local communities. Without a robust economy, there can be no progress, and new investments require a stable business environment and confidence in institutions at all levels of government.

Participants agreed that the development of local communities, as the foundation of social and economic progress, requires a coordinated approach from all levels of government, along with the active involvement of capable and dedicated professionals in decision-making processes that affect the economic development of the canton.
