Minister Šibonjić attends thematic session on the position and prospects of youth

The Minister of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton, Samir Šibonjić, attended a thematic session on the position and prospects of young people, held at the Assembly of Zenica-Doboj Canton. The session was organised by the Youth Commission of the ZDK Assembly, in cooperation with the Institute for Youth Development KULT and the Youth Affairs Commission of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Institute for Youth Development KULT is one of the leading organisations in Bosnia and Herzegovina dedicated to improving the position of young people, through advocacy for systemic solutions, support for youth organising and the strengthening of cooperation between institutions and young people. The Youth Commission of the ZDK Assembly serves as the institutional framework for youth matters at the cantonal level, and sessions of this kind bring together representatives of the legislative authority, the profession and civil society organisations in order to jointly define concrete measures.

The session addressed the key challenges faced by young people, ranging from employment and housing to mental health and support for youth organising, with the aim of jointly defining guidelines for improving their position. Minister Šibonjić expressed support for initiatives aimed at creating better opportunities for young people, emphasising that youth represent the greatest development potential of the canton. "Investing in youth is investing in the future of Zenica-Doboj Canton, and the Ministry remains committed to supporting initiatives that open up better opportunities for young people," said Minister Šibonjić.
