Minister Šibonjić led the ZDK delegation at the International Industrial Fair in Celje, with around 30 cantonal companies among 200 exhibitors.
Minister of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton Samir Šibonjić led the cantonal delegation on a working visit to the Republic of Slovenia, where it participated in the International Industrial Fair in Celje, one of the most significant industrial events in the region. Alongside representatives of the Ministry of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton, the delegation includes entrepreneurs from the canton, representatives of the ZEDA Development Agency and the ZEPS fair, with particular strength provided by the presence of around 30 representatives of successful companies from Zenica-Doboj Canton.
The Celje fair, organised by Celjski sejem, brings together more than 200 exhibitors from the fields of industrial innovation, modern technologies and production solutions, and represents a key platform for the exchange of knowledge and the establishment of business contacts. Slovenia remains one of the most important foreign trade partners of Bosnia and Herzegovina, while strong economic ties are further reinforced by numerous successful business examples of Bosnian-Herzegovinian companies and citizens in that country, making this fair a strategically important opportunity for positioning the domestic economy on the European market.
During the visit, Minister Šibonjić held a series of meetings with representatives of industrial companies and institutions, aimed at establishing concrete forms of cooperation and opening new business opportunities for the economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton. „Our goal is to open the door to new investments, strengthen export-oriented companies and enable direct connections with relevant partners from the European Union," said Minister Šibonjić, adding that the presence of Zenica-Doboj Canton at this prestigious fair represents a strategic step towards strengthening international cooperation. The Ministry of Economy remains committed to supporting such initiatives, with the aim of internationalising domestic companies, attracting investments and ensuring long-term economic growth.
