Minister Šibonjić meets Impakt Foundation director on youth entrepreneurship

Minister of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton Samir Šibonjić held a meeting with the Executive Director of the Impakt Investment Foundation, Sanja Miovčić, to discuss strengthening cooperation and enhancing support for the development of youth entrepreneurship in the canton. The meeting placed particular focus on programmes aimed at empowering young people to start their own businesses through professional and financial support, as well as on concrete models of joint action that could deliver quick and measurable results on the ground.

The Impakt Investment Foundation operates as one of the development institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a focus on supporting the startup ecosystem, small and medium-sized enterprises, and social entrepreneurship. Through various programmes of education, mentorship and investment support, the Foundation connects young people with experienced entrepreneurs, investors and institutions, thereby contributing to the development of sustainable businesses and the creation of new jobs. The experience and network of contacts at the Foundation's disposal represent a significant resource for Zenica-Doboj Canton, particularly in attracting capital and transferring knowledge to young entrepreneurs.

The interlocutors agreed that the development of an entrepreneurial spirit among young people is key to long-term economic growth and the reduction of unemployment, and that joint action is essential to create conditions in which young people will remain in the canton and build careers through their own business ventures. „Our goal is to provide young people with concrete support, from the idea to registration and the first contracts, so that entrepreneurship becomes a realistic and attractive career option in Zenica-Doboj Canton," said Minister Šibonjić. The Ministry of Economy remains committed to cooperating with the Impakt Foundation and other relevant partners in designing programmes that will directly support young entrepreneurs in the canton.
