Minister Sibonjic Met with Chairmen of the Boards of Turkish Companies Yapıyol and Çiftay Gülant Çandaş About New Investments

Chairman of the Board of Yapıyol Murat Özler, Chairman of the Board of Çiftay Gülant Candaş and General Director of Çiftay Mehmet Gökalp Özkök visited Minister of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton Samir Sibonjic. The discussions focused on investment opportunities for Çiftay and Yapıyol, as well as identifying suitable business partners within the Zenica-Doboj Canton area.

Yapıyol and Çiftay operate in the fields of mining, energy and tourism, employing a combined workforce of more than 4,000 people. Both companies are also active in the cement production sector. They already have a presence in Bosnia and Herzegovina through their engagement in exploitation operations at the silver mine in Vareš, where in partnership with Nova Mining and Construction they currently employ 187 workers.

Such meetings represent a continuation of the Ministry of Economy's systematic efforts to attract foreign investment to Zenica-Doboj Canton. Cooperation with Turkish companies in strategic sectors such as mining and energy opens up opportunities for creating new jobs, technology transfer and strengthening the overall economic potential of the Canton and the wider region.
