Minister Šibonjić visited Kuşadası District Governor İbrahim Keklik

Minister of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton Samir Šibonjić visited the District Governor of Kuşadası, İbrahim Keklik, at his office. Minister Šibonjić is staying in Kuşadası with the Master Bosna team on the occasion of the International Veterans Football Tournament “World Peace Cup”, which takes place from 15 to 18 October 2026.

The World Peace Cup was first organised in Kuşadası in 2016, and this year it returns to the city where it was founded. The tournament brings together athletes and guests from different countries. Its aim is to use football as a common language to connect people of different cultures and regions and to send a message of friendship, brotherhood and peace. Bosnia and Herzegovina is also represented at the tournament, including by the Master Bosna team.

During the visit, Minister Šibonjić was accompanied by Osman Çetiner, President and Secretary General of FAF in Türkiye, Safet Sinanović, Director General of the Railways of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Aldin Bjelić, Vice President of the Master Bosna team. Beyond its sporting context, the meeting provided an opportunity to strengthen the friendly ties between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Türkiye, which rest on a long history of closeness and mutual respect. The visit reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to nurturing cooperation with partners from Türkiye and opening new opportunities for connecting the two countries.
