

Ministers Čajić and Sibonjic spoke with a representative of Natron-Hayat: ZDK increasingly in focus of major investors
Ministers Čajić and Sibonjic met with Natron-Hayat representative about expansion plans of the company employing nearly 900 workers in ZDK.
Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of Zenica-Doboj Canton Jasmin Čajić held a meeting in his office with Selami Yakar, Executive Director of Supply Chain at Natron-Hayat d.o.o. Maglaj, and Minister of Economy Samir Sibonjic. Yakar briefed the ministers on the current operations of Natron-Hayat, and discussions also covered the company's business plan and expansion strategy in the Canton area for the future.
Minister Čajić emphasised that Natron-Hayat, which employs nearly 900 workers, is significant for the Canton's economy, and that it is important for the Government to maintain and if possible increase the current number of employees. He noted that the relevant ministries will continue communication with the company's representatives and strive to further improve the framework conditions for business, so as to have a positive effect on the employees themselves.
Minister Sibonjic assessed Natron-Hayat as one of the most successful examples of foreign investment in the Canton and Bosnia and Herzegovina, expressing satisfaction with the company's announcements of interest in expanding its investment. He emphasised that the Adriatic Metals investment in Vareš also confirms the arrival of a period of accelerated development and positive change in the economic paradigm, and that Zenica-Doboj Canton, with its increasingly strong industrial potential, is becoming a serious region in the focus of major foreign investors.
