

Visit to Kran Company in Olovo: Tradition and Quality in Woodworking
Minister Sibonjic visited the Kran woodworking company in Olovo, a family business operating since 1982 that produces furniture to European standards.
The Minister of Economy of Zeničko-Dobojski Canton, Samir Sibonjic, visited the Kran company in Olovo. The company employs 15 workers and specialises in timber cutting and extraction, sawmill operations, and the final processing of wood products.
The company was founded by Edhem Merdan in 1982 and is now managed by Alem Merdan. It is equipped to manufacture all types of furniture, joinery and the finest wood products from both standard and premium timber species, following designs provided by clients. Decades of experience have been gained through the furnishing of religious, residential and hospitality buildings.
The owners also maintain a traditional watermill and a small fish pond for their own use and in order to preserve local heritage. All products are manufactured in accordance with tradition and the highest European standards.
