Visit to the Public Institution Pensioners' Home with Inpatient Ward of ZDK on the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons

Minister of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton Samir Sibonjic attended a ceremonial event marking the International Day of Older Persons, observed on 1 October, and on that occasion visited fellow citizens of the third age accommodated at the Public Institution Pensioners' Home with Inpatient Ward of Zenica-Doboj Canton. The ceremonial assembly organised at the institution served as an opportunity to highlight the importance of caring for the elderly as a priority of social responsibility.

In conversations with the Home's residents, Minister Sibonjic learned that they were satisfied with the conditions of their stay, the quality of services, the attitude of staff towards them, and the opportunity to socialise with their peers. Such feedback attests to the quality of the institution's work and the dedication of its personnel in providing adequate care and social support to residents.

Minister Sibonjic emphasised that it is the obligation of all relevant institutions to work together to ensure that the lives of the most vulnerable categories of society are as comfortable and fulfilling as possible. Visits to such institutions represent an opportunity to assess the actual needs of residents and to improve the institutional framework for elderly care at the cantonal level.
