City Day of Zavidovići: Opening of New Facilities for Citizens

On the occasion of the City Day of Zavidovići, alongside a rich programme prepared by the City Administration led by Mayor Erna Merdić Smailhodžić, Minister of Economy of the Zenica-Doboj Canton Samir Sibonjic attended the opening of the IT HUB for the youth of Zavidovići. The IT HUB is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment enabling users to educate themselves and perform the most demanding IT tasks.

The project was realised in cooperation with the City Administration of Zavidovići, which provided the premises, while the Ministry of Economy of the Zenica-Doboj Canton allocated KM 200,000 for IT HUBs in Zavidovići and Maglaj. The facilities are intended for young people wishing to advance in information technology, develop innovative ideas and launch their own startup companies.

Minister Sibonjic emphasised that from today, young people in Zavidovići have the same conditions as IT professionals anywhere in the world, and expressed hope that they will utilise these opportunities to realise useful projects and launch new businesses. He also congratulated the Mayor and her team on the results achieved in the development of the city.
