Discussion on Foreign Direct Investment and Cooperation with Gulf Countries

The Ministry of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton was visited by Dr. Sci. Adnan Muslija, Dr. Jusuf Mehić and mechanical engineer Alija Bakšić. The meeting focused on foreign direct investment in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with emphasis on cooperation with Gulf countries, particularly Kuwait.

Possibilities for economic cooperation with Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates were explored. Muslija, who possesses extensive experience gained during years spent in Kuwait, presented concrete opportunities for investment and partnership, along with an analysis of the canton's sectoral potentials that could be particularly attractive to investors from these countries.

Minister Sibonjic expressed the Ministry's readiness to provide full support in establishing contacts and realising potential investments, emphasising that attracting foreign investment represents one of the strategic priorities in the area of the canton's economic development.
