Historic Visit in Travnik: First Official Meeting of the Ministers of Economy of ZDK and SBK

Minister of Economy of the Zenica-Doboj Canton Samir Sibonjic visited the Ministry of Economy of the Central Bosnia Canton in Travnik, headed by Minister Sedžad Milanović. This was the first time the heads of these two ministries officially met to discuss economic cooperation between the two neighbouring cantons.

Minister Sibonjic highlighted that the Zenica-Doboj Canton, as the centre of industry and the backbone of the economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is ready to develop economic and infrastructural cooperation together with the Central Bosnia Canton. He emphasised the need to unite forces so that both cantons become even more competitive on the market and more attractive to domestic and foreign investors, assessing that both cantons have much to offer.

The two ministers agreed to organise a series of working meetings of expert teams in the coming period, tasked with charting the path of future joint development, thereby opening a new chapter in inter-cantonal economic cooperation.
