ZDK – Champion of Growth and Development

In the first six months of 2025, the Zenica-Doboj Canton confirmed its status as the most dynamic and stable economic area in the Federation of BiH. Industrial production in the canton grew by 10.4%, while at the FBiH level growth amounted to just 0.6%. The capital goods sector particularly stands out, with growth exceeding 150%, confirming that the canton creates high added value.

In foreign trade, canton exports increased by 8.3% with significantly slower import growth, leading to a historic improvement in the trade balance – the Zenica-Doboj Canton now covers 95.73% of imports with exports. The average net salary reached KM 1,414 with growth of 19.4%, while the number of foreign overnight stays increased by 48.5%, confirming that the canton is becoming an increasingly attractive destination for tourists and investors.

The results of the Zenica-Doboj Canton in the first half of 2025 demonstrate that the canton has rightly earned the position of development driver of the Federation of BiH. The Ministry of Economy continues to build an environment that attracts investments, strengthens companies and creates better living conditions for citizens, confirming the canton leadership position in economic growth.
