Meeting Between Minister of Economy of ZDK Samir Sibonjic and Mayor of Kakanj Mirnes Bajtarević

Minister of Economy of the Zenica-Doboj Canton Samir Sibonjic held a constructive meeting with the Mayor of Kakanj Municipality Mirnes Bajtarević. Discussions covered key topics related to economic development, support for workers and businesses, and improving the Canton's tourism offering. Particular attention was given to the FBiH Government's decision on a minimum wage of 1,000 KM and its impact on businesses and workers in ZDK, with a shared position that this decision must be accompanied by a complete set of fiscal laws ensuring economic support and budget stability.

The Ministry of Economy's public calls for 2025 were also discussed, which will again include financing for equipment procurement, trade fair participation, and other business support projects. An important topic was the regular payment of concession fees to enable Kakanj Municipality to continue implementing planned projects. The need for stronger cooperation between the ZDK Tourist Board and local tourism boards was highlighted, aimed at creating a joint offering to retain tourists in the Canton for longer periods.

Kakanj Municipality will continue to support craftsmen and businesses through its Development Centre when applying for Ministry of Economy public calls, working jointly to improve the local economy and conditions for citizens.
