Minister of Economy of ZDK Met with Representatives of the "Bosanski Lonac" Project – A New Cultural Brand of BiH

MINISTER OF ECONOMY OF ZDK MET WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF THE "BOSANSKI LONAC" PROJECT – A NEW CULTURAL BRAND OF BiH
Minister of Economy of the Zenica-Doboj Canton Samir Sibonjic hosted representatives of the multimedia project "Bosanski lonac", one of the most ambitious cultural projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which in a contemporary way combines musical tradition, top-tier production, and powerful emotion.
"Bosanski lonac" is not just a music album, but a project of national significance that, through 12 new ethno-pop sevdah songs, 12 high-budget music videos, and a TV and multimedia special, has the potential to become a new cultural brand of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Special symbolism is carried by the closing song "Svati", in which all performers appear together, sending a powerful message of unity.
The creative backbone of the project is Dr. Feđa Imamović, the originator and artistic director, who authored as many as ten compositions, while Mirzana Imamović, the author of two songs known to the wider public as the "golden pen" behind the hit "Bosanka", brings a special freshness to the project.
During the meeting, discussions were held on the importance of cultural and creative industries for economic development, identity promotion, and strengthening the image of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as on the possibilities of institutional support for projects that combine tradition and contemporary expression.
Statement by Minister Samir Sibonjic:
"The Bosanski lonac project demonstrates how our tradition can be preserved and promoted in a modern, professional, and dignified way. This is not just music – this is identity, emotion, and a powerful message of unity. As Minister of Economy, I believe that such projects are extremely important because they connect culture, creative industries, and the promotion of Bosnia and Herzegovina, creating added value for both society and the economy."
The "Bosanski lonac" project plans a strong promotion throughout BiH, along with educational workshops and masterclasses, with the aim of connecting generations and bringing cultural heritage closer to young people in a way they can relate to.
This is a story that is just beginning, but it already clearly has the scent of success – just like the Bosnian stew that is patiently simmered, bringing together the best ingredients of our tradition.
