The company is a beneficiary of incentive funds from the Ministry of Economy, with whose help a burger patty machine was acquired, significantly improving the production process and increasing productivity and efficiency.

The Meat Industry Semko was founded in 2009 and currently employs 30 workers. The core activity is the production of beef and poultry meat products, including cured dry meat products, fermented sausages and shaped products. The company holds ISO 9001, HACCP and HALAL certificates, and in the last two years has recorded significant export growth to the Montenegrin market.

Minister Sibonjic expressed satisfaction with the results achieved by Semko, emphasising that the Ministry of Economy's incentive measures contribute to strengthening the competitiveness of economic entities in domestic and foreign markets. He noted that growth in productivity and revenues directly contributes to filling budgets from which even more favourable business conditions can be created in Zenica-Doboj Canton.
