Minister Sibonjic and Associates Attended a Workshop on Environmental Protection

An educational public workshop on environmental protection was held at the premises of the Public Institution "Cultural and Sports Centre" in Zavidovići. Minister of Economy Samir Sibonjic, together with his associates, attended the workshop, as did cantonal representative and newly elected Mayor of Zavidovići, Ms. Erna Merdić Smailhodžić.

The workshop was conducted in cooperation with the Environmental Protection Fund of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, representing the final activity within the project "Strengthening Public Awareness of the Importance of Environmental Protection in the Area of the City of Zavidovići". The educational sessions were led by distinguished experts: Dr. Muamer Hodžić, Maida Čukojević, B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering, Prof. Dr. Muhamed Omerović, and Amra Hamzić, B.Sc. Economics.

In addition to the guest lecturers, a presentation on the results achieved in communal hygiene and environmental protection in the Zavidovići area was delivered by the director of the communal enterprise, Mr. Amer Halilović. Such workshops represent a significant step in raising environmental awareness among citizens and institutions at the local level.
