

Minister Šibonjić attends opening of Business Development Conference 2026 in Zenica
Minister Šibonjić attended the opening of the international Business Development Conference 2026, organised by the Faculty of Economics in Zenica.
The Minister of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton Samir Šibonjić attended the opening of the 11th International Scientific and Professional Conference "Business Development Conference 2026: Building Resilient and Adaptive Economies", organised by the Faculty of Economics of the University of Zenica. The conference brought together distinguished experts, researchers and representatives of institutions and the business sector, with the aim of exchanging knowledge and ideas on building more resilient and adaptive economies in modern business conditions.
The Faculty of Economics of the University of Zenica organises this gathering in cooperation with partners from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, France, Türkiye and Romania, giving the conference a distinctly international character. Bringing together academic and business representatives from several countries creates space for networking, the transfer of experience and the consideration of practical solutions applicable to the real business environment of Zenica-Doboj Canton and beyond.
In his address, Minister Šibonjić highlighted the importance of connecting the academic community and the economy, emphasising that such gatherings are of great significance for the development of competitiveness, innovation and sustainable economic growth in Zenica-Doboj Canton and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Through its participation in this conference, the Ministry of Economy reaffirms its commitment to strengthening the ties between science and the economy as a foundation for the long-term economic development of the canton.
