Minister Šibonjić attends opening of exhibition dedicated to remembrance of the Srebrenica genocide

The Minister of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton, Samir Šibonjić, attended the opening of the exhibition "When Time Falls Silent", held to mark the anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide. The exhibition was opened in Zenica, organised by the Preporod Gallery Zenica, the Meshihat of the Islamic Community in Zenica, and the Srebrenica Memorial Centre.

Through artistic expression, the exhibition is dedicated to the culture of remembrance and to preserving the truth about the suffering in Srebrenica. A special dimension was given to the opening by the sounds of a movement from the "Srebrenica Inferno", performed on cello by Semir Mahmić, a member of the Zenica Chamber Symphony Orchestra, lending the event a dignified and moving tone befitting the significance of the commemoration.

The exhibition was formally opened by the Mufti of Zenica, Mevludin ef. Dizdarević, and the opening was attended, alongside numerous citizens and representatives of institutions, by the Speaker of the Zenica-Doboj Canton Assembly, Ćazim Huskić, and Minister Šibonjić. The message of the commemoration was clear: Srebrenica is not only a place of remembrance, but a lasting warning to all of humanity, and it is the duty of everyone to preserve the truth, nurture the culture of remembrance, and do everything to ensure that such a crime is never repeated against anyone.
