Minister Sibonjic Highlighted the Importance of Small Businesses and Crafts for Overall Economic Development

Minister of Economy of the Zenica-Doboj Canton Samir Sibonjic met with the President of the ZDK Crafts Chamber Sajid Brka and the President of the Assembly of the Federal Crafts Chamber Smajlo Hasanić. The chamber representatives informed the Minister about their organisational activities and expressed gratitude for the support the Ministry provides to crafts, particularly traditional and heritage trades, both through incentive measures at record levels this year and through an open-door policy for cooperation.

During the meeting, the Minister was invited to deliver a lecture to craftsmen on 3 December 2024 on the importance of craft activities in the overall economic landscape. The chamber representatives also briefed the Minister on the challenges that cantonal craftsmen face in their daily work.

Minister Sibonjic thanked them for the visit and emphasised the great importance of crafts in economic development, noting that the Ministry of Economy has particular empathy towards small businesses and crafts, which form the backbone of the Canton's economic fabric and are essential for strengthening the overall economy.
