Minister Sibonjic in Vienna with BiH Business Leaders: One of the Priorities Is Strengthening the Network of Businesspeople

Minister Sibonjic attended an iftar in Vienna with BiH business leaders, aiming to strengthen the network of entrepreneurs across Europe.

Minister of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton Samir Sibonjic visited Vienna, where he attended an iftar organised for successful Bosnian-Herzegovinian entrepreneurs. The event brought together more than 50 guests from business, cultural and political life originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina who live and work in Austria, with the aim of networking the diaspora with the homeland and fostering business cooperation.

In addition to businesspeople from Austria and BiH, the iftar was attended by the Minister for Human Rights and Refugees in the BiH Council of Ministers Sevlid Hurtić, Vice President of Republika Srpska Ćamil Duraković, Vice President of the RS National Assembly Mirsad Duratović, and the BiH Embassy representative in Vienna, Minister Counsellor Šaban Forić. The attendees included entrepreneurs whose Austria-based companies generate millions in revenue in their respective industries.

Minister Sibonjic emphasised that one of the Ministry of Economy's priorities will be strengthening the network among the canton's entrepreneurs and their closer ties with the homeland, with the ultimate goal of increasing investments. One of the key conclusions from the gathering was to organise a working meeting in Vienna that would bring together approximately 100 businesspeople from Austria and BiH.
