Minister Šibonjić meets Mayor of Vareš to discuss development projects and investments

The Minister of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton, Samir Šibonjić, paid a working visit to the Mayor of Vareš Municipality, where the two discussed development projects, improvements to the business environment, and opportunities for new investments in the area. The visit forms part of the Ministry's ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation between the cantonal and local levels of government.

Vareš Municipality has a long tradition of mining and industrial production, and in recent years it has been recognised as a location with significant potential for new investment, primarily in the exploitation of mineral resources and related activities. The development of these capacities opens up room for new jobs and further positions Vareš as one of the economically promising municipalities within Zenica-Doboj Canton.

During the meeting, it was emphasised that quality cooperation between the cantonal and local levels of government, together with systematic support for the economy and investment, is essential for creating new jobs and achieving sustainable economic growth. Both sides agreed that the shared objective remains the creation of better conditions for the development of Vareš and the strengthening of the canton's overall economy. "A strong local community is the foundation of a strong cantonal economy, which is why we will continue to provide concrete support to every development project that brings new jobs," said Minister Šibonjić, reaffirming the Ministry's commitment to remaining a reliable partner to local communities.
