Minister Sibonjic Spoke with the Ambassador of Azerbaijan Dr. Guliyev

The Minister of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton, Samir Sibonjic, met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Dr Vilayat M. Guliyev, at the embassy residence in Sarajevo. During the cordial meeting, the need for strengthening economic relations between the two friendly countries was emphasised, with particular reference to investment opportunities in Zenica-Doboj Canton, tourism potential and participation in international trade fair events traditionally held in the canton.

Minister Sibonjic highlighted that Bosnia and Herzegovina and Zenica-Doboj Canton represent a sincere friend and partner for a large economy such as Azerbaijan, and invited the Ambassador to convey to his government information about the canton's advantages, including the proximity to the European Union market. Ambassador Guliyev expressed Azerbaijan's interest in developing economic cooperation and hopes that it will gain additional momentum in the coming period.

Minister Sibonjic invited Ambassador Guliyev and Azerbaijani companies to participate in the upcoming Tešanj Economy Fair and the General BH Fair ZEPS 2024, announcing that these fairs, together with a series of other events planned for late September and early October, would constitute the Economy Festival of Zenica-Doboj Canton.
