Minister Sibonjic's Visit to the Faculty of Economics of the University of Zenica

Minister of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton Samir Sibonjic visited the Faculty of Economics of the University of Zenica on 9 November 2023. The visit provided an opportunity to learn about the Faculty's areas of activity and to explore possibilities for enhancing cooperation between the academic community and the business sector.

During the visit, various challenges significant for development were discussed, taking into account the role of the University of Zenica as a generator of development for the Central Bosnian region. Particular attention was devoted to aligning educational programmes with labour market needs and strengthening the links between science and the economy.

Such visits represent an important component of the Ministry of Economy's activities in connecting relevant institutions with the aim of creating a more favourable environment for economic development in Zenica-Doboj Canton. Cooperation between academic institutions and the business sector is essential for enhancing the competitiveness and innovativeness of the cantonal economy.
