Pivić and Sibonjic Met with President of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Avdagić

Premier of Zeničko-Dobojski Canton Nezir Pivić and Minister of Economy Samir Sibonjic met in Istanbul with the President of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Šekib Avdagić, who is originally from Zenica. The Government delegation, in addition to Minister Sibonjic, included Minister of Finance Dženana Čišija, Minister of Justice Nebojša Nikolić, and Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Jasmin Čajić.

Discussions focused on the possibilities of economic cooperation between Zeničko-Dobojski Canton and the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, which is considered one of the largest in the world by membership. Premier Pivić emphasised that the Ministry is ready for joint projects that will improve trade exchange and further increase the level of investment from the Republic of Turkey in the canton and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

President Avdagić was informed about plans to relaunch the General Trade Fair of BiH - ZEPS, as well as opportunities for Turkish companies to exhibit at this prestigious fair. Discussions also covered cooperation in the fields of tourism, energy, mining, construction, and food production, and it was concluded that both sides should continue talks at the expert team level to thoroughly examine cooperation opportunities.
