ZDK Government Delegation Visited the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce: Participation in ZEPS 2026 Fair Announced

The delegation of the Government of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, led by Prime Minister Nezir Pivić, visited the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, the second largest business association in the world with over 800,000 members. The delegation met with Vice President Mehmet Develioğlu, Chairman of the Board of Directors Israfil Kurulay, and Deputy Secretary General Özkan Toker.

The delegation also included Minister of Economy Samir Sibonjic, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Jasmin Čajić, and Minister of Finance Dženana Čišija. Prime Minister Pivić expressed gratitude to the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce for its efforts in strengthening economic cooperation between the Republic of Türkiye and Bosnia and Herzegovina, particularly for its contribution to reviving the General BH Fair ZEPS, which was renewed after a multi-year hiatus with the partnership of Türkiye.

Minister Sibonjic expressed pride in the strong partnership with the Republic of Türkiye, highlighting the special contribution of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce. The cooperation to date has resulted in a more than 30-fold increase in bilateral trade, which this year amounts to approximately 1.2 billion dollars, with an increase in exports from Bosnia and Herzegovina of around 52 million dollars. The joint goal is to further increase trade above 2 billion dollars.

Minister Dženana Čišija highlighted the importance of student and secondary school pupil exchanges, enabling young people to learn about study opportunities at prestigious Turkish universities. The Istanbul Chamber of Commerce is already preparing for the ZEPS 2026 fair, announcing the arrival of a large number of exhibitors and an exclusive fair presence.
