Visit to Ferro-Invest d.o.o. Zenica

Minister Sibonjic visited Ferro-Invest d.o.o. Zenica, a company with a turnover of 32 million KM expanding into transmission tower production.

The Minister of Economy of Zeničko-Dobojski Canton, Samir Sibonjic, visited the company Ferro-Invest d.o.o. in Zenica and learned about its business objectives and development plans. Ferro-Invest is engaged in wholesale and retail metal trading as well as production, and achieved a turnover of approximately 32 million KM last year.

The company is recording an expansion trend in the domestic production sector, particularly through investment in the manufacture of transmission line towers, with the aim of strengthening its presence in the Western Balkans regional market. Minister Sibonjic briefed the management on the Ministry's subsidy programmes, and discussions also covered opportunities for enhancing competitiveness and expanding capacity.

Ferro-Invest possesses a large, modern warehouse in Zenica, a retail outlet and a new production and storage facility. Two photovoltaic power plants have recently been installed, with four more in preparation, enabling the company to enter the electricity production and sales segment. The company also operates an additional warehouse and retail facility in Nemila.

"We are striving to further improve the business environment in Zeničko-Dobojski Canton. Ferro-Invest is yet another successful company making use of the advantages available here. The growth and development prospects of this company are beyond question. Whenever a company moves forward, we all benefit — from the local community, through the canton, to the state," Minister Sibonjic stated.
