Vocational Education Week Marked in Cooperation with ZDK Chamber of Commerce

In cooperation with the Zenica-Doboj Canton Chamber of Commerce, the Ministry of Education, schools and entrepreneurs, with support from international organisations led by the German Development Agency GIZ, the Ministry of Economy continued its support for practical training and vocational education. The marking of Vocational Education Week represents an important opportunity for promoting the significance of practical knowledge in the educational system.

Particular focus was placed on introducing holiday internships for secondary school students, including the possibility of paying allowances and contributions for interns. The goal is to create conditions for young people to gain as much practical knowledge and opportunities for work and professional development as possible, thereby directly supporting the connection between the educational system and labour market needs.

The Ministry of Economy recognises vocational education as one of the foundations for the long-term development of the canton and is committed to continuing cooperation with all relevant partners in improving the quality of practical training and creating better conditions for the professional development of younger generations.
