ZDK Assembly adopted a record budget of 540,582,580 KM

At the proposal of the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton, the Assembly of Zenica-Doboj Canton adopted a record budget in the history of the canton in the amount of 540,582,580 KM, with total expenditures and outlays planned at 536,301,950 KM. The budget is larger by 50,280,630 KM or 10.49 percent compared to the last revised budget from December 2022, confirming the financial stability and development potential of the canton.

Significant funds were directed towards social benefits and citizen support. Maternity benefits for unemployed mothers were increased from 7.5 to 22 million KM, sport allocations from 1,000,000 to 1,600,000 KM, youth employment support from 45,000 to 280,000 KM, and agriculture support from 4,000,000 to 5,500,000 KM. Salaries and social contributions account for 65.28 percent of the total budget.

Minister Sibonjic congratulated the adoption of the new budget, expressing the wish to make life better for the citizens of Zenica-Doboj Canton and Bosnia and Herzegovina. He wished all entrepreneurs in the canton and their employees much success in their work, emphasising that this budget creates the prerequisites for further economic progress.
