27 Companies from ZDK Received Incentives for Strengthening Competitiveness

The ZDK Ministry of Economy signed contracts with 27 enterprises for allocation of incentive funds totaling 685,535 KM for strengthening competitiveness.

The Ministry of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton today signed contracts for the allocation of incentive funds for strengthening competitiveness with 27 small and medium enterprises from this Canton in the total amount of 685,535.24 KM. The funds were allocated through a public call and are intended for the procurement of equipment, workforce training, promotion and participation in fairs, introduction of quality standards, and patents.

Prime Minister Nezir Pivić emphasized that this is another activity in support of strengthening the competitiveness of small and medium enterprises, which is a commitment of the ZDK Government. He noted that ZDK is entering the new year with an adopted budget and that spending programs will define economic development support measures aligned with the expressed needs of entrepreneurs. Business leaders welcomed the efforts of the Government and the line ministry in this regard.

Minister of Economy Samir Sibonjic stated that the approved funds for strengthening competitiveness are significant, but that he is aware that the needs of the economy are much greater and that the economy deserves stronger support. He announced that the line ministry will strive to simplify the application process to facilitate the use of incentive funds in the coming period.
