Minister Sibonjic: Continued Support for Domestic Producers in Raising Competitiveness

Minister of Economy of ZDK Samir Sibonjic held a meeting with representatives of the Institute for Standards and Safety (ISS), with the main topic being the implementation of international ISO standards for businesses in Zenica-Doboj Canton. The application and certification of ISO standards improves the functionality, safety, and social well-being of organizations, enabling companies to adapt and enhance their business activities.

Minister Sibonjic emphasized the importance of raising the level of competitiveness and obtaining quality certificates, especially for craftsmen who have recently gained the ability to export their products. He announced that the ZDK Ministry of Economy will continue to support domestic producers in exporting their products as easily and in as large quantities as possible, subject to meeting all necessary international standards.

ISS representative Nermin Mahmutović pointed out that obtaining ISO certificates creates potential for increased business in both current and new markets, and that standardization enables companies to operate internationally with confidence regarding the compatibility and quality of their products.
