Attendance at TTI Izmir Fair Confirms Growing Importance of Tourism and Strengthening Cooperation with Turkey
Minister Sibonjic highlighted growing international interest in BiH tourism at the 19th TTI Izmir Fair attended by over 12,500 professionals.
TTI Izmir, the 19th International Tourism Fair and Congress, one of the most significant tourism events in the region, this year gathered more than 12,500 domestic and international tourism professionals. Participants highlighted it as one of the most successful editions of the fair in the last decade. The event was organised under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye, in cooperation with İZFAŞ and TÜRSAB.
Minister of Economy of the Zenica-Doboj Canton Samir Sibonjic emphasised that such international events are of exceptional importance for the canton, particularly in strengthening its presence in the international tourism market and attracting investors. A noticeable increase in interest from international partners in the Balkans region was observed during the fair, as evidenced by numerous meetings between Turkish institutions, tourism associations and agencies with representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
It was particularly noted that many tour operators in Türkiye have expressed their intention to increase promotional activities and tourist packages directed toward Bosnia and Herzegovina. Minister Sibonjic stressed that the Zenica-Doboj Canton possesses natural and cultural potential that is increasingly being recognised, and that cooperation with Turkish partners opens new opportunities for investment in tourism, hospitality and supporting infrastructure.
The upcoming 20th edition of the fair is expected to feature even greater participation by international investors and tourism professionals, representing an additional opportunity to strengthen the Zenica-Doboj Canton's presence on the global tourism map.
