

Official Visit to the Republic of Turkey: Tourism Investors Express Interest in Investing in ZDK
Premier Pivić and Minister Sibonjic met with ETİK President Mehmet İşler in Turkey to discuss tourism investment opportunities in Zenica-Doboj Canton.
Premier of Zenica-Doboj Canton Nezir Pivić and Minister of Economy Samir Sibonjic visited the Republic of Turkey on an official trip, where they met with Mehmet İşler, President of the Association of Tourism Enterprises and Hoteliers of the Aegean Region (ETİK) and Vice President of the Turkish Federation of Hoteliers (TÜROFED). During the meeting, both sides exchanged insights on the state of tourism in their respective countries, with particular emphasis on tourism offerings and cooperation potential.
Premier Pivić highlighted the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton's commitment to making significant progress in developing tourism infrastructure in the coming period. Given that the Republic of Turkey ranks among the top five countries in the world by number of tourist visits, the knowledge and experience gained along that path represent invaluable assets for Zenica-Doboj Canton as well. Concrete cooperation was agreed upon and a new meeting was scheduled with investors from the Aegean region in the hospitality sector, along with an offer of comprehensive support for potential investments.
Minister Sibonjic emphasised that the economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton forms the backbone of the country's overall development and that realistic capacities exist for the development of continental tourism. The delegation also visited the 17th Tourism Fair in Izmir and established additional contacts with potential investors, while mutual visits of chamber of commerce delegations were arranged with the aim of creating new business partnerships.
