ZDK Delegation at the 19th TTI Izmir Tourism Fair

Minister Sibonjic and the ZDK Government delegation participated in the 19th TTI Izmir Tourism Fair, where the canton presented its own stand for the first time.

The 19th edition of the Tourism Fair – TTI Izmir, one of the most prominent tourism events in the region, was held in Izmir. Minister of Economy of the Zenica-Doboj Canton Samir Sibonjic had the honour of addressing officials and guests at the ceremonial opening on behalf of the Government of the Zenica-Doboj Canton and the delegation led by Prime Minister Nezir Pivić.

The delegation included Minister of Finance Dženana Čišija, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Jasmin Čajić, and Director of the Tourist Board of the Zenica-Doboj Canton Šaban Ibrišimović. Minister Sibonjic spoke about the natural, historical and cultural diversity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, emphasising that tourism is one of the fastest-growing economic sectors in the country, and invited all present to visit and experience its uniqueness firsthand.

Notably, the Zenica-Doboj Canton had its own stand at the fair for the first time this year, through the participation of the Tourist Board, representing an important step in strengthening the international promotion of the canton and its tourism potential. Following the opening ceremony, the premiere of a promotional film about the Zenica-Doboj Canton was held, presenting the canton's tourism potential in the Turkish language.

The opening ceremony was attended by Mayor of Izmir Cemil Tugay, Mayor of Manisa Besim Dutlulu, Deputy Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Fikri Ataoğlu, Vice President of the TÜRSAB Board of Directors Hasan Eker, and Director of the Adıyaman Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Yelken, along with numerous professionals from 54 countries and 30 cities across Türkiye.
