Farewell to Members of Zavidovići Mountain Rescue Service

Members of the Zavidovići Mountain Rescue Service (GSS) were sent off on their journey to Türkiye, where they will join colleagues from the GSS of Zenica-Doboj Canton and the Federation of BiH in providing earthquake relief assistance. The send-off was organised in the presence of Minister of Economy Samir Sibonjic, who wished the team members a safe journey and a successful mission.

On this occasion, a donation collected in a short time by Zavidovići entrepreneurs was presented to them, demonstrating the solidarity of the business community with the affected population. The donation will be delivered on behalf of the canton by GSS Zavidovići member Samir Bešlija and a friend of the canton in Türkiye, Erol Sevim, who will coordinate the distribution of aid on the ground.

This act of humanitarian solidarity confirms the deep connection between the peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Türkiye, as well as the readiness of citizens and institutions of Zenica-Doboj Canton to provide support in the most difficult moments. The Ministry of Economy will continue to monitor and support similar initiatives.
