

Ceremonial Reception Marking the 100th Anniversary of the Republic of Turkey at the Embassy in Sarajevo
A ceremonial reception was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Sarajevo marking the 100th anniversary, with President Erdoğan addressing via video.
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye, a ceremonial reception for guests and dignitaries was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Sarajevo. The guests were greeted by Turkish Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Sadik Babur Girgin, who in his speech paid tribute to all the martyrs and veterans who participated in the war of liberation, as well as all those who throughout the century contributed to strengthening the Republic of Türkiye. President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan also addressed the guests via video link.
Minister of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton Samir Sibonjic, who also attended the reception, reflected in conversations with the hosts on the longstanding tradition of good mutual relations between the two countries. He expressed confidence that these relations would be further strengthened and deepened across all fields in the future, emphasising that the strength of friends represents a shared strength.
Minister Sibonjic expressed gratitude for the hospitality and congratulated the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye to all officials, headed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and to the friendly Turkish people. Such diplomatic events affirm the depth of bilateral relations and the shared commitment to further developing cooperation at all levels.
