Government of ZDK and ZiraatBank BH: 7.55 Million KM Credit Line for Small and Medium Enterprises

Minister Sibonjic and ZiraatBank BH Chairman signed a contract for a 7.55 million KM credit line with interest subsidies for SMEs in ZDK.

Minister of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton Samir Sibonjic and Chairman of the Board of ZiraatBank BH Bulent Suer signed in the office of Prime Minister Nezir Pivić a contract for the disbursement of a credit line with interest rate subsidisation for small and medium enterprises operating in the Canton for 2023. ZiraatBank BH was selected through a public call, and the credit line is worth a total of 7,550,000.00 KM, with a maximum loan amount per beneficiary of 500,000.00 KM. The Ministry secured 300,000.00 KM for interest subsidisation at an annual rate of 3.00%.

Legal and natural persons headquartered in the Canton, in majority private ownership, performing activities in manufacturing, hospitality, information and communication technologies, and other service activities in accordance with the Law on Incentives for Small Business Development are eligible for the loan and interest subsidy. Chairman of the Board of ZiraatBank BH announced the launch of a public campaign for loan disbursement, expressing satisfaction that the bank was entrusted with the placement of this credit line.

Prime Minister Nezir Pivić emphasised that strengthening the competitiveness of the small and medium enterprise sector is a key priority of the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton. He announced new programmes for subsidising entrepreneurship, activities to stimulate exports and strengthen export potential, intensification of digitalization and modernisation of manufacturing, as well as investments in business infrastructure and industrial zones in local self-government units.
