Joint Iftar for Citizens of Zavidovići Hosted by Mayor of Afyonkarahisar

Minister of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton Samir Šibonjić attended a joint iftar for the citizens of Zavidovići, held at the City Hall and organised by the Mayor of the Turkish municipality of Afyonkarahisar Burcu Köksal. The iftar was also attended by Mayor of Zavidovići Erna Merdić Smailhodžić, representatives of the city administration, and numerous citizens who responded to the invitation.

The joint iftar provided an opportunity for the citizens of Zavidovići to socialise with guests from the Republic of Türkiye in the spirit of Ramadan togetherness and solidarity. The organisation of the iftar by the Mayor of Afyonkarahisar represents an expression of the friendly ties developing between the two cities and a confirmation of a partnership founded on mutual respect and cooperation.

The attendance of Minister Šibonjić and Mayor Merdić Smailhodžić confirmed institutional support for strengthening relations between Zavidovići and Afyonkarahisar. Events such as these contribute to deepening cooperation at the local and international level and strengthening cultural and friendly ties between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Türkiye.
