

Meeting Sibonjic - Azemović: Initiatives for Development of Local Communities in ZDK and Montenegro
Minister Sibonjic held a meeting with Montenegro's Minister of Diaspora Azemović on cooperation and the role of diaspora in economic development.
Minister of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton, Samir Sibonjic, held a working meeting with Minister of Diaspora of Montenegro, Mirsad Azemović, who is visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina. The meeting was organized with the aim of strengthening mutual cooperation between Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a particular focus on the potential of the diaspora in developing economic and social projects in both countries.
During the meeting, discussions covered specific models of cooperation between the two ministries, exchange of good practices in working with the diaspora, as well as opportunities for joint action in the areas of economy, investment, and sustainable development. Particular emphasis was placed on the role of the diaspora as a bridge between the home country and abroad, and on the importance of its involvement in development initiatives that contribute to strengthening local communities in Zenica-Doboj Canton and Montenegro.
Minister Sibonjic highlighted the readiness of the Ministry of Economy of ZDK to actively participate in regional and international initiatives that contribute to economic stability and connecting business entities. The Montenegrin delegation also included Ajla Dervišević, Head of the Department for Cooperation with the Diaspora in the Region and Europe. Both sides expressed readiness to continue and deepen cooperation, with plans for future meetings and joint projects.
