Minister Šibonjić held a meeting with EUFOR representatives from the Turkish LOT house in Zenica on cooperation and joint projects for the local community.

The Minister of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton, Samir Šibonjić, held a meeting with representatives of EUFOR, specifically the Turkish LOT house in Zenica. The meeting addressed the successful cooperation realised to date, as well as the possibilities for its further enhancement through joint activities and projects of significance for the local community.

EUFOR is the military operation of the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina, tasked with contributing to a safe and secure environment in the country. As part of this mission, so-called LOT houses (Liaison and Observation Teams) operate within local communities across Bosnia and Herzegovina, maintaining direct contact with institutions and citizens. Turkey is one of the countries participating in this operation, and its members, through the LOT house in Zenica, cooperate with local authorities and institutions in the area of the canton.

At the meeting it was assessed that the cooperation realised so far provides a good basis for joint activities aimed at the benefit of the local community, and the possibilities for its further strengthening were considered. Minister Šibonjić highlighted the importance of continuous dialogue and partnership with the international actors present in the area of the canton. "Cooperation with the representatives of EUFOR is a confirmation of good relations and a shared commitment to the development of the local community, and the Ministry remains dedicated to continuing this partnership," said Minister Šibonjić.
