Meeting with a Representative of Libyan Businesspeople on Cooperation Opportunities

Minister of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton Samir Sibonjic held a meeting with a representative of Libyan businesspeople, Salem Muhamed Zidan. The discussion focused on opportunities for cooperation between entrepreneurs from Zenica-Doboj Canton and Libya, with Zidan emphasizing that the traditionally good relationship between BiH and Libya provides a strong foundation for developing economic cooperation.

Zidan informed the Minister that approximately 50 companies and prominent businesspeople from Libya will visit BiH on the occasion of the Sarajevo Business Forum in May this year. Minister Sibonjic and his associates presented in detail the state of the economy in ZDK and the opportunities for export-oriented industrial production, with a large number of products that can be placed on the Libyan and African markets.

To facilitate communication, the Minister appointed Esmir Bašić as coordinator, with the goal of arranging meetings and the participation of Libyan companies at trade fairs in BiH as soon as possible. It was emphasized that friendly relations must be developed in all fields with a focus on the economy, as ZDK's economy deserves quality positioning on the Libyan market.
