Meeting with a Delegation of Businesspeople from Libya on the Margins of ZEPS 2025

On the margins of the International General BH Business Fair ZEPS 2025, Minister of Economy of the Zenica-Doboj Canton Samir Sibonjic held a meeting with a delegation of business people from Libya. The delegation comprised representatives of the Libyan Iron and Steel Company, Libya Oil Joint Venture, Libya Africa Investment Portfolio, Libyan Development and Investment Holding Company (LITICO), General Authority for Exhibitions, and the Municipality of Misrata, as well as organisers from Sana Consultancy and Training Company.

Discussions focused on enhancing economic cooperation between the Zenica-Doboj Canton and Libya, with particular emphasis on investment opportunities in the metals, oil and energy sectors and the development of new business zones. The first result of this cooperation was achieved at ZEPS itself, with the signing of a memorandum on the presentation of Arab companies the following year at a special "Arab World at ZEPS" pavilion.

This meeting represents a significant step towards strengthening international partnerships and opening new opportunities for the economy of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, confirming the growing interest of business people from the Arab world in economic cooperation with the canton and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
