Minister Sibonjic at Economic Forum in Žepče: New Investments Changing the Economic Paradigm of BiH

Minister of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton Samir Sibonjic participated in the Economic Forum in Žepče, praising its organisation as highly successful. The Forum carried a clear message that the economy must drive processes and stabilise relations in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Minister highlighted the Žepče Development Agency as one of the finest local development agencies in the country.

In his address, Minister Sibonjic emphasised that Zenica-Doboj Canton, as one of the most important industrial regions in the Balkans, serves as an example of how the economy can be the driving force behind the development of the entire country. With major new investments in the Canton, a position has been created for changing the economic paradigm of Bosnia and Herzegovina, opening up genuine prospects for improving the overall economic environment.

According to Minister Sibonjic, the coming year should bring significant changes, with realistic prospects of moving from a deficit in the import-export ratio to a surplus. Such forums represent an important platform for exchanging experiences and coordinating the efforts of all relevant stakeholders in strengthening economic development at the cantonal level and beyond.
