Minister Sibonjic at the DEIK General Assembly in Sarajevo

Minister of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton, Samir Sibonjic, attended the general assembly of DEİK – the Foreign Economic Relations Board of the Republic of Turkey, which was held at the International University in Sarajevo. The gathering was chaired by Mr. Hasan Topaloğlu, President of the DEİK/Turkey–Bosnia and Herzegovina Business Council, and among those present were the Deputy Minister of Treasury and Finance of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Mahmut Gürcan, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to BiH, H.E. Mr. Emin Akseki, and more than 20 DEİK members – representatives of leading Turkish companies from various sectors.

As Minister of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton, Minister Sibonjic discussed with partners specific investment opportunities, strengthening economic cooperation, and strategic steps that can be taken together for the economic development of both Zenica-Doboj Canton and all of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Such meetings represent an extremely important platform for open dialogue that leads to stronger economic ties between Turkey and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and contribute to creating concrete opportunities for investment and business cooperation in Zenica-Doboj Canton.
